Fendiga Ortho: Byron

Now that we are past the basic concept phase for character design and all of the character appearances have been agreed to and/or edited by their creators, we now need solid reference pieces for the modelers who are going to be making the models that we will, in turn, create our sprites sheets out of (long story, but trust me, it's a pretty interesting way of doing things that our project head came up with).

This is the official version of Byron, the jumpsuit wearing remnant psion of the world of Jaern. The changes that were made from the original version of this character were basically that he was supposed to be a bit more husky than I had depicted him last time (and a bit shorter, but since we will probably just have to include measurements later or scale the models... there's not much more to depict that).

Anyway, here is the orthographic reference for the modelers. Color schemes for these are not final, I just had to have some color and need to check with the creators for their ideas for the colors. + Notes:

Yeah, there are going to be small spots and pixels of missing color on this. This is not the finalized version (the lines are all sketchy and the colors are just sort of slapped on), but this is what will be submitted to the modelers. I will likely be cleaning this up once I finish up the others I have to do this week.


+ About the Game:

Fendiga Blade is a 2D fighting game based off of a game called Jaren (or Adventure Quest [and no, not the AQ online]) that has been going on here at Purdue for the last 30 years or so. This is the first time that I will be working on a game that I did not devise myself, and that I am not directly involved with the programming on.
